You might be able to claim for help with travel costs and your student support section can also tell you about Learner Support Funds.

College and training fees

If you go to college or stay at school and study full-time, you don't usually need to pay for your course - it's free. Independent schools and colleges (ones you pay to go to) charge fees.

Government funded training (  like Apprenticeships) is also free and you'll get paid wages or a training allowance.

 There are benefits some people aged 16 and 17 can claim but they are hard to get.
